Community Supported Agriculture
What is a CSA?
A CSA is an agreement between the farmer and the members of the community. The members buy in to the success of the farm in the form of shares, they pay for these shares in the beginning of the season (when the farmer is in most need of money needing to buy seeds, equipment, tools). The farmer reciprocates by providing vegetables for their members throughout the season. Thus the community is supporting their local agriculture.
